Catastrophic Injuries in Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcyclists are disproportionately vulnerable in traffic collisions. Without the structural protection of an enclosed vehicle, riders commonly sustain some of the most severe injuries seen in personal injury cases, including:
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Spinal cord damage and paralysis
- Internal organ injuries
- Multiple bone fractures
- Severe road rash and skin injuries
Critical injuries of this nature can require months or years of ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and may result in permanent disability.
Legal Rights for Motorcycle Accident Victims
When a motorcyclist is injured due to another driver's negligence — whether from running a red light, failing to yield, distracted driving, or other reckless behavior — the victim has the right to pursue compensation for:
- Emergency and ongoing medical expenses
- Lost income and future earning capacity
- Pain and suffering
- Long-term disability and care costs
